FCC Cybersecurity Pilot Program

• $200M total over a 3-year period to purchase cybersecurity equipment and services
• Schools, Libraries, Consortia are eligible
• Eligible Services and Equipment include:
  • Advanced/Next Generation Firewalls
  • Endpoint Protection
  • Identity Protection and Authentication
  • Monitoring Detection and Response
• 2-Part Application Process

Schools and School Districts will be eligible for up to $13.60/student with a Minimum of $15,000 and a Maximum of $1.5M annually. 

Libraries will get $15,000 for <= 11 sites or $175,000 for > 11 sites. 

This amount is pre-discount, similar to E-Rate Category 2 Budget calculations. 

Application for acceptance (Form 484) will be a 2-part process:

• Part 1 – General cybersecurity information about the applicant and proposed project. This will be used to select applicants to participate in 3-year Pilot.
• Part 2 – More detailed description of proposed project and information about participant’s policies, procedures, history and training

Form 484 submission deadline is November 1st. 

Within 90 days of submission, a list of selected applicants will be published.  This will be followed by Part 2 of the Form 484 and initiation of the procurement process.
